How are career pathways generated?

Talent Navigator analyses the employee's current skills, experience, and stated career interests against all roles in the organisation. It maps multiple possible pathways, not only the next promotion but also including lateral moves, cross-functional transitions, and leadership tracks. Each pathway shows the specific skill gaps to close and creates an action plan to bridge the gap.

Can employees see pathways to roles in different departments?

Yes. Navigator surfaces pathways across the entire organisation, not just within the employee's current team or department. This is one of its key advantages over manager-led career conversations, which are typically limited to what the manager knows about. Employees often discover viable career paths they hadn't considered.

What happens when a skill gap is identified?

For each skill gap, Navigator generates a personalised action plan. This includes relevant internal learning programmes, mentors who have the target skill or knowledge, projects that would develop it, and e-learning courses. The plan is prioritised so employees can focus on the highest-impact skills first. Progress is tracked over time.

Does Talent Navigator work for non-linear career paths?

Yes. Navigator is designed for how careers actually work, not just promotions up a ladder. It can model lateral moves, diagonal transitions (e.g., marketing analyst to data product manager), and skill-based pivots. It identifies transferable skills that open unexpected pathways and helps employees see opportunities they might not have considered.

Can you integrate with HR or other enterprise systems?

GoFIGR has native integrations with BambooHR, Workday, UKG, Lever, EdApp, Okta, and supports most major HRIS, ATS, LMS, and performance management systems. SSO via Okta and MS Entra is supported. Slack integration enables notifications for new opportunities and matches. For systems without a native integration, CSV import, S3 access, SFTP and API access are available.
